The Environment

Irongate is an environmentally conscious company and is committed to not only reducing the impact our business has on the environment but helping our customers reduce theirs too.

In 2010, we became fully certified to the ISO 14001 International Standard, which requires us to demonstrate the implementation of measures to control the environmental impacts of all our activities and provides a framework for continuous improvement.

We also created what’s called our ‘Eco account’ programme whereby customers can achieve eco account status by agreeing to order their products online, use our printer cartridge recycling scheme and receive one delivery per week. In return we’ll plant two trees per year in their name which helps to offset some of the carbon their business creates.

We also give our customers the opportunity to purchase responsibly by choosing from our range of ‘Happy Planet’ products which includes remanufactured printer cartridges, recycled copier paper and everyday stationery items produced from post consumer waste.
